The Interim Assessment of the Future Internet Public Private Partnership Programme was carried out by an independent panel of experts in last spring and its respective report published in May 2012. The objectives of the assessment were to:
• evaluate the concept of the FI-PPP;
• assess progress in the first year;
• offer recommendations to the European Commission and to participants in the FI-PPP;
• bring forward proposals for how to further develop the FI-PPP;
• contribute to the guidelines for public-private partnerships in Horizon 2020.
